Dan had brought his girlfriend into meet his mother and for the first time in his life of twenty-one years he was in love.
After dinner Eva left and Dan chatted to his mother.
"I want to marry her," said Dan. "I've never felt so connected to someone in my life. We were meant to be."
"Are you sure?" asked his mother. "She's much older than you."
"Age isn't important."
"She's 826 years old Dan! She's been divorced twenty one times and she has one-hundred and forty-six children! You're new to this world. I'm five hundred and sixty one years old and I've been around and I know what I'm talking about! Girls like that fantasize about someone like you and then get bored and move on. I've seen it happen over and over again."
"But I love her!" protested Dan.
