Time And Again

Madge became increasingly concerned Jack was secretly having an affair.

Once again her husband went out and switched off his cell phone.

Within an hour, she received a phone call from the private detective she had hired.

"I'm afraid to tell you it's true," said Jon the Detective.  "Twice a week he meets a woman."

"Where!" demanded Madge.

"In his research lab," said Jon.

"She appears to have some secret entrance.  One of my guys got some shots of him with her."

"After all we've been through, he's been cheating on me in his office!"  Times had been hard for Madge and Jack.  They'd put their life savings into his work and remortgaged the house twice.

Madge arrived in Jack's work and cornered Jack.

"I know you're having an affair Jack, how could you!" said Madge emotionally.  "Where is she?"

"It's not like that honey," said Jack.

"Don't call me honey!"

Jack raised his hands.  "Ok, ok.  You can come out now," he said to the woman who had been hiding.

A woman who looked remarkably like Madge stepped out.  She was wearing designer shoes and clothes and looked like she'd had a serious make over.

"Hello Madge," said the woman who looked like Madge.

"What is this?"

"It's you Honey but from the future," said Jack.  "My transport device finally worked but it had a side-effect where it could also transport people through time.  In the future, we're the richest people on the planet because of my invention.  We're famous honey!!  You got the boob job and the tummy tuck and all those other jobs you always wanted.  You even have your own personal trainer and houses all over the world.  All our hard work paid off."

However, Madge just folded her arms and leaned her head sideways.  "You think I was born yesterday?!" said Madge.  "You're sleeping with that slut, aren't you!!!!"
